3. Reading
n Pick
one reading we did in class that spoke to you.
In other words, which reading made you think about something in a
different way? Discuss the reading and
your reaction to it.
Home at Last is one of the readings that we did in class.
Home
is a place where you live at a particular time and where you are stationed and
from which missions start and end. The author also told us about home’s
definition at the beginning of this article. From this title, we can see that
the author hoped this station was the last time to move. In my opinion, he
wanted to live in Brooklyn the rest of his life, because he was tired of moving
from one place to another place again and again. He liked Brooklyn where he
wanted to settle down comfortable and never moved. If you always move, you
cannot be familiar with the new home, the new city, and the new country. You cannot
make friends with your classmates, neighbors, or co-workers either. If you
cannot settle down, you will always be busy from moving. Even though you could "travelled" around the world via moving, you would be tired of it at the end.
